October Update: US Ski & Snowboard, Wine Festival, and More

Sorry for the lack of updates. It has been a busy summer and another busy couple of months for Tanner lately. A lot has happened since our last update so here is a quick recap of what Tanner has been up to.

First and foremost Tanner has been elected to the Judiciary Committee for US Ski & Snowboard which is a huge deal. Here is some information on how the committee works:

“The Judicial Committee is appointed by the Board of Directors to serve for fixed terms. Decisions of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Judicial Committee are final and non-appealable within U.S. Ski & Snowboard but may have other avenues of appeal by statute and by the USOPC Bylaws. The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Judicial Committee establishes policies and procedures not inconsistent with the Bylaws, approved by the Board.  All members of the Judicial Committee shall be disinterested individuals without a conflict of interest to the individuals or situations being heard. Second, Tanner was a judge at the Utah Wine Festival which we had mentioned back in June of this year. Here is a list of the award winners at this year’s festival.

Last but not least Tanner was a panelist at the National Association of Licensing and Compliance Professionals (NALCP) 2022 national conference. The NALCP is a non-profit organization comprised of in-house liquor licensing and compliance professionals specializing in on and off-premise retail liquor licensing. This year’s NALCP Conference took place in Portland, Oregon on September 22nd through the 24th, which featured guest speakers from the licensing and compliance industry including liquor licensing legal professionals, consultants, service providers, governmental representatives, and State and National restaurant association spokespersons.

As always make sure to keep up with Tanner on Twitter @UTliquorlawyer!
